Prior to contacting us please review the following Frequently Asked Questions to see if the answer you are seeking is listed.
Q - How do I become represented by Elitedance Artists Management?
A - Simple, just do your thing and we will find you as we and our representatives are EVERYWHERE! Seriously though, we rarely recruit through traditional channels, most everyone we work with come to us by way of referral and lots of references.
Q - As a dance artist, what qualifications should I have to be considered for high-profile guest-artist representation through Elitedance Artists Management?
A - Elitedance Artists Management would love to be able to offer employment opportunities to everyone who expresses interest in the agency. Unfortunately we cannot do that, our agency caters to a very specific type of employment which requires a very seasoned level of experience and superb technical ability. If you can't wait for us to find you, and you really want to be considered for guest-artist representation through Elitedance Artists Management you need to meet the following criteria prior to contacting us for consideration.
- You must have the technical abilities and experience to dance principal roles within the classical and neo-classical repertoire.
- Have 5 to 10 years experience as a soloist or principal dancer with an internationally recognized ballet company. ***This does not mean just guesting appearances*** this means one or two ballet companies where you were contracted as a Principal or Soloist dancer for a duration of 5 to 10 years.
- Have vast domestic and international guest-artist experience as well as good press coverage and references for those engagements.
Q - I consider myself a high-profile dance artist who meets your criteria for representation, before I submit any materials to you I would like to know how much you charge when I work through your agency as a guest artist?
A - We offer highly competitive rates to our represented artists and our management fees are some of the most affordable in the industry. For guest-artist employment opportunities that we solicit, secure, and govern the fee is 10% of the contracted performance salary value. For existing employment contracts you have personally secured and would like to have us govern for you, we charge 5% of the contracted performance salary. This fee structure is the same for our represented instructors as well. FYI - The choice is ultimately yours to make but we recommend that you never pay more than 10% of a performance salary to an agent/manager for representation.
Q - I run a company and am in need of a guest artist, how can I use your service to find one?
A - Elitedance Artists Management is the largest management agency specializing in high-profile guest artist employment, we have many qualified guest artists affiliated with the agency who are available for employment at different times of the year. If you are interested in using Elitedance Artists Management to try and hire a guest artist dancer all we would need from you to get started is some specific information regarding your needs and contract details, for example, gender, height, salary, number of performances, time commitment, title of repertoire to be performed including which choreographic version if any. Once received and reviewed to determine if we can assist you with services, a representative will contact you back to discuss the possibilities of entering into an agreement.
Q - How much does it cost to initially communicate with your agency and discuss my needs to determine if a contract for services can be entered into?
A - Nothing at all, there are fees involved with many of the services we provide but there is never a charge to pitch your needs to us and discuss the possibilities.
Q- I would like to get in touch with an artist I know for a fact you represent, may I have their contact information?
A - No, we do not disclose any personal contact information for any of the artists we represent to anyone unless they are an employer and a contract has been entered into with Elitedance Artists Management.
Q - How much advance notice does it take to properly search and secure a high-profile guest artist(s)?
A - The more time you allow for the search process the better your chances are of hiring a high-profile guest-artist through Elitedance Artists Management, we recommend around two months in advance for regular performances and around 5+ months in advance for Nutcracker productions. Last minute situations arise all the time and we have found many employers high-profile guest-artists on very short notice, in some cases in a matter of a few days. Elitedance Artists Management cannot guarantee that the agency will be able to secure high-profile guest-artists on short notice but we will exhaust every resource we have at our disposal to try and fill all employment requests regardless of how much advance notice there is.
Q - Do you represent dance artists who are not ballet dancers or ballet instructors, i.e. Tap dancers, Jazz dancers, Hip Hop dancers?
A - No, unfortunately we do not have the amount of employment resources it would take to validate representing guest-artist dancers in any other style than ballet. Ballet is our main focus for employment, we represent high-profile ballet dancers and instructors from all over the world and it will probably remain that way for some time to come.
Q - I am not a guest artist yet because I just began my career, can Elitedance Artists Management find me a full time job dancing in a ballet company?
A - We do not actively solicit, govern, or recruit artists for full time year round employment, the employment we process is exclusively guest-artist related. However, there are circumstances that sometimes present themselves where we will in fact try to locate available ballet dancers for full time employment. These circumstances are few and far between, so, if you are instistent upon sending us your resume/CV materials to keep on file, please do so knowing that you may only hear from us once in a great while regarding opportunities.
Q - I operate a ballet company and am looking to hire dancers for full time year round employment, can Elitedance Artists Management help me locate potential dancers?
Generally speaking we would only extend this service to existing administrators who have previously processed employment through the agency. We do this with the primary reason of making sure that those organizations where the administrator's are employed can financially support the contract offer they are making for year round employment.
Q - I know that Elitedance Artists Management uses their own contracts for governing guest artist employment, as an employer may I obtain and use that contract too, even though I am not affiliated with you, or hiring artists through your agency?
A - No, unless you are a client or an employer contracting one of our represented artists we do not consent for you to use one of our contracts. The only way it is possible to use one of our employment contracts for your own employees with our consent is by entering into a management or consultancy contract with Elitedance Artists Management. You can contact us and send information regarding your project needs by clicking here. Once we evaluate your project needs a representative will contact you back to discuss the possibilities of an agreement.
****Please note**** If you want to use the language from one of our contracts as a stock outline for your own we do allow that on a per case basis, you can contact us to make that request.
Q - Are you affiliated with a labor union in the USA, UK, EU, or anywhere else?
A - No, we have always operated independently and always will.
Q - Do you represent dance luminaries for special event appearances and product endorsements/promotion?
A - Yes we do, if you are interested in discussing the possibilities of such an endeavor please contact us and let us know all the details of your event promotion or product.
Q - What can I expect the average industry standard salary range to be for hiring a high-profile guest-artist?
This is a very difficult question to give a general answer due to the fact that many circumstances are taken into consideration when determining performance salary. Each production has its own unique structure, working conditions, degree of exposure and depending on these factors the following ranges can either be too high or too low. Generally speaking these are very close to accurate salaries that our guest-artists command.
A - In the United States; between 1000.00 and 1500.00 USD per performance per dancer.
A - In the UK; between 500.00 GBP and 1000.00 GBP per performance per dancer
A - In the EU, between 1000.00 Euro and 1500.00 Euro per performance per dancer
A - In Japan, starting at 100,000.00 Yen per performance per dancer
